More pictures of our little man...

"Hey Mom ~ they are about to feed me. Do you wanna watch?"
"So if I press here it makes music!?!"

"Aaahhh...sometimes I just rest with Mommy. Daddy what are ya doing?"
"I love when Mommy lifts me up in the air!"
Stephen gets more comfortable with us each day. There still is a big difference though when he is with the caregives in his room where he is comfortable. Today when I handed him to one of the caregivers when it was time to go he watched our every move. He is too adorable. He has this really cute coy sideways look that he gives us that is priceless! He also licks everything new to him. Today he licked my wedding ring and Daddy's watch :) He is such a good boy.
We went out for lunch today to a Chinese restuarant. The food was REALLY good. They brought a basket of these rolls that were fried on the outside and the dough was sooo soft inside. Yummy! We also had great conversation with out driver and translator. We exchanged information about life in the US and life in Kazakhstan. It was really nice to hear how similar our lives are. Can you believe car insurance is only $15.00 a year for full coverage here!?!?!!! Wow!

That picture of you and Stephen with his head leaning on you is so sweet! He definetly looks VERY comfortable in your arms Dawn....like he knows he belongs there.

Stephen definitely knows where he belongs now - he looks so at peace! Mateo has to smell (rather than lick) everything when he gets it - he still does it today :-) Although being away from home can be an inconvenience, I wouldn't trade our time in Ust for anything. Someday we'll have all this information and experiences to share with our babies first hand. So glad you guys are enjoying yourselves!

The pictures are great. Stephen looks so animated now, it just warms my heart (that other little guy in the first photo looks so sweet also) You sound so - for want of a better word content! It is so lovely to hear. As for car insurance prices in Kaz - they have got to be joking!! We were in Almaty for 9 weeks and I saw more accidents there than in a year in Canada/Ireland!! Maybe claims just are not made to the insurance companies?? I know our translator had a small crash (rear ended) when we were with her and she made a 'cash settlement' with the other guy.

So glad to hear you are enjoying Kaz life, it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Keep those lovely photos coming!
