Oooooohhhh...my head!

Yup...that is exactly what I look like! I went to work today and after about an hour I would have swallowed Anthrax if someone told me I would fel better. I have no idea if I have the flu...never had it (at least I don't think I did), but what I am experiencing now seems to have all the symptoms I have heard about. It is almost comical...we are finally about to travel and meet our son and I am sick! Lord - what is up with that?
We will travel next weekend come hell or high water! I am getting on that plane. I feel like Scarlet on Tara in the final moments of Gone With the Wind- determination baby! Michelle (Sapp for those who don't know) I am keeping the faith...I remember you went straight from the hospital to the airport last year when you were finally united with Mateo and Natalia.
So, please continue your prayers friends - we appeciate them and know they are more powerful than many know.

I've heard of sending a virus in email but not like this. You weren't supposed to get the same yucky crud I was telling you I had. Like you said... better now than in Kaz. I'm on day 6 and aside from a little sinus pain I'm all better so just hang in there, you'll be better soon.

I'll be praying you get over this illness soon - so many students out at my school right now :-( I honestly believe I had no immune system/defenses left by the time we were ready to travel. I was just so totally overwhelmed and exhausted by our circumstances that it all caught up to me. Miraculously, I was more than good the moment we landed in Ust. It was everything I had been wanting, praying for, dreaming of, etc... and nothing was going to get in my way :-) We women who choose to adopt have that strength. No one can really understand the strength and courage it takes to take this leap of faith unless ou've done it. We understood and we couldn't be happier for you! THIS IS IT, DAWN! YOU ARE GOING TO BE A MAMA!

Oh Dawn, hope you are feeling better quickly and so excited to hear that you are on your way to KZ and your son waiting for you. I know this has been a long and frustrating haul for you, but soon in your arms will be all the reasons it was worth it. Best wishes to you.

Dawn,

I'm glad Muriel kept the listserv group updated on your continuing journey. I was worried you had truly given up after the blog became "by invite" only. Hope you are feeling better soon. I look forward to following your journey. As long as the in-country stay can seem, for us anyway, I came to see that the bonding period and the extra time spent with the kids in an environment familiar to them really seemed to help the transition to a family. Best of luck on your journey!
