The Official End of the Paperchase!

Well, this was what my kitchen table looked like on Sunday as I put our dossier in order: the originals with five copies. I was in a foul mood...aggravated beyond words that it took this long to get everything in order. As soon as I thought all was in order it turned out that something was amiss and had to be fixed. Once we got the I171h I had to have it apostilled. I sent it Fed Ex and paid the extra money for it to be expedited, but it still took them three days! Uuuugghhh!
Okay, so at least it is on its way in the Fed Ex plane to our agency in California. God willing...everything will be approved, translated in a week, and sent to Kaz where it will spend the last days of its life :-) Once again, God willing, we will be in Kazakhstan by November or December the latest. Please pray for us.

I remember when our dining room table looked like that. We had to make many batches due to the fact they needed 2 per child (and we are getting 2 children) also the agency needed their copies and we needed copies. We had copies coming out of our ears.

Congratz on getting the paperwork off. That's a huge relief for you I'm sure.
I'll be praying for you to travel before the end of the year.

Congratulations! Party! It's done. And I wanted you to know your Bears are adorable! I saw the one someone sent to Margaret I think. Anyway, they are too cute! Great idea and work.

Well it's good news that this major milestone is done! I remember when we sent our off, I thought I would be happier about it, but I was kind of frustrated that all that hard work was just put in an envelope and mailed off. There should have been a parade or something.

Hi Dawn.....I SOOOO remember that day of making all those copies. I went downtown and got every apostilled in one hour. I was on a mission. And if this helps, it took one week to the day to get ours back from translation and it was sent to Kaz Fed Ex the following week to the day. Oh...I know your excitment. I DO! Good luck!! Love, Tam

Good job Mama getting it all done!

You're one more step closer. I know Kaz must be different than Russia - I was doing more paperwork tonight and sending off for about 24 more apostilles tomorrow!

Wow, I can't believe all the paperwork you have set out there. Okay, maybe I can believe it. I guess even with our domestic adoption we had mounds of paperwork to complete!

I'm offering up a prayer that you will indeed be in Kazakhstan by November or December the latest.

Good luck!

Do you want to take your mind off of things by joining in on my Holiday Cooking, Blogger Style recipe exchange? There's a great list building but we can always use one more. :)
