Well, first - as you probably realized if you were not prompted to log in - we made the blog public again. The crazy lady from Kaz that was stalking us adopted a child and so she is probably no longer interested in making our lives miserable. Also, things have settled down and I doubt any "officials" in Kaz are reading it any longer, but if something occurs and I have to go private again...it is just the click of a button. For now I want to share our joy with the world.
There are still so many things we don't know and we have so many questions, but the communication skills of our agency are awful. Getting information is like trying to break into Fort Knox. Naturally, we wonder if she showed up. If she did...what occured? I will have to wait for the details until I get to Kazakhstan and can drill Almagul for the whole story. All that matters is that her rights are being deprived and Stephen is ours forevermore. Not quite "officially" yet, but we are in the home stretch. As I said in my earlier post...it will be about 3 weeks for the court to finalize the deprevation of her rights. We were told that everything is then forwarded to the Ministry of Education (Axana) and that they are going to do all they can to expedite our case. I want to fly in - get our son - and fly out.
I'll keep you all posted.

Wow!! And, the new baby is already in the orphanage? Get Nigmat to get Inna to sign away her parental rights, so you can bring BOTH of them home...after all, they are "siblings", at least 1/2!! Wow. I hope that you GO SOON and come home SOON...gosh. I'm stunned into happiness for you. Love, Karla
Dawn, I have been praying for you. I have been checking your blog and was so suprised to see you news tonight - my eyes are filled with tears of joy! Love, Brenda
Absolutely wonderful news! And who knows, maybe this wait was necessary so you and Joe can request that Stephen's half sibling be adopted along with him (use your wiles anyway you can to get Joe to agree!). I am willing to bet that Axana would be willing to go to bat for you re the new baby!!
Praise God!! This is great news!! I'm so glad things are working in your favor. It would be great if you could get the baby too - do you know if there is a wait time for the baby or is he/she available immediately. I'm sure it would take a lot more paperwork but so worth it. Praying for God's guidance in this decision.
Praise the Lord! That is awesome news. I have been checking 2 or 3 times a day for information!! Wouldn't it be such a miracle if you were about to adopt both of them and that was the whole reason for this whole delay! I am soooo happy for you and can only imagine the joy you are feeling tonight!

this is the best news evah! Congrats. I cant wait to hear that you are off to Kaz to get your son and bring him home forever and maybe a sibling too?!!
Praise God!!! So happy to check in this morning and see the he is yours. That is just amazing.
Congratz! I hope these weeks fly by.
The clouds have parted! I am thrilled for you and Joe. The homestretch! You will have Stephen in your arms soon! Congratulations. genevieve
Oh Praise the Lord!
I am so happy for you guys! Finally, you'll be bringing your boy home! I'll be praying that you will travel quickly and all of the details will fall into place. Is there really a possibility you could adopt the newborn sibling? That would be awesome!
Many Blessings,
Penny
What a joy to celebrate! You've made my week with this news . . . I'd pop in from time to time to check up and I've been praying for you, Joe, Stephen and Inna. What a blessing for both her babies that they'll have a chance at stable, loving homes; even if you don't plan to adopt him/her, do you think you'll be allowed some information about Stephen's baby brother/sister to share with him when he's older? I can't wait to hear the news about your trip and your reunion with your son.

Amazing! I am thrilled for you, Joe and your son. Someone once said in all their years in adoption work a family either had an easy adoption and a difficult child or a difficult adoption and a wonderful child. Here's to celebrating that wonderful child you are about to bring home.

Glad things seem to be working out. Been wondering about you guys.
What wonderful news!! I read about this on the Jury blog and took a chance on checking your blog. I am glad it is open again and things are going so well.

I've been wondering about you ever since you made the blog private -- glad to see things are looking up. You'll be in my thoughts until you are home, safe in your house with husband and son. Best of luck in your future journey!

Dawn, I am so happy and excited for you. I know that a huge burden has been lifted from your shoulders. Now you can spend your time getting ready for your new son, instead of worrying. Love, Susan
