FAQ's

Will the decide for certain on the 19th?

Yes, the will make a decision on the 19th even if Inna does not show up.

What are you going to do about your visa expiring?

Almagul took it today and it costs $250 to extend your visa.

If they rule in your favor on Thursday can you take Stephen and get the heck out of that crazy country?

IF they rule in our favor I can go directly to the orphanage and get Stephen either that day or the next day. Unfortunately, I cannot leave this crazy country until Stephen's new birth certificate, passport and other papers are finalized. So I will still be here another 2-3 weeks. Lovely!

I'm glad they will decide on the 19th & not throw it back to the other court, you deserve an answer already! If they rule in your favor (how could they not) will you be able to fly to Almaty soon after? I didn't know if they would allow you to at least get away from that place when you get his birth cert. I'd get the heck otta there! :-)
Hugs-
Ann

I hope it's at least a teeny relief for you to know that there will be no further postponing- that, come Thursday, this will be decided. I also don't see how Inna's absence can have done anything but strengthen your own case; it makes it look as if she is not even willing to fight for him, and I am sure the judges can't help but see it that way too.

I'll continue to lift all of you up in prayer; I am particularly praying for your safety following the court decision. The police have already indicated that Mr. POA is not a savoury fellow, and I'm wondering about what Ann asked: can you at least get away as far as Almaty after Stephen's new birth certificate is granted?

May God strengthen your whole family, and come Thursday, may he start to bring you back together again.

Hmmmm. This all makes sense. POA promises Inna a free trip to America, a rich husband and all the drugs and alcohol she could ever want. And no doubt in exchange for a "small fee" that she would send him once she got her rich husband. I cannot believe the court is allowing this to go on.
Will you be able to take Stephen to Alamty to wait for his bc and passport?

Hang in there-this sit com/nightmare is almost over!

Oh my goodness Dawn, I am just praying and praying that you will be going to pick Stephen up that afternoon!

I'm sorry court was postponed! How much more frustrating can it get, but who knows, maybe God has one more piece of evidence that will just make the case for you!

Ok, glad that the extended Visa is being taken care of...and, I do hope that you have a final decision on Thursday...but, please, be prepared for another delay...this "smells" really "fishy" to me...prayers continue for you and Joe and Stephen. Love, Karla

Dawn,
Please let the people who are helping you lead you and be as compliant and as calm as you can to the court. The judge will see that you are the calm and confident mother. Ask the people who are helping you if you should show that note to someone in authority. I think you should also ask them about your safety.

Kaz is a different world. Good or bad - it is their system. Keep fighting the fight and running the race. You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.

Zhenya's babuskha (83 year old prayer warrior) called me this morning to ask about you. We prayed together on the phone and we will continue to pray.

Frank is leaving here on the 22nd to come back to Ust. Let me know if you need anything and he will bring it for you. Books, magazines, a tasty treat... anything. Let us know.
Good luck. You will stay in our prayers until you BOTH come home.

Dear Dawn,
I am praying that you and Stephen come home soon. I can not imagine in my wildest dreams what you and Joe have gone through.
I know that god will answer all yours and everyone else's prayers and give you that baby.
He is a beautiful boy and will be a joy to you for a lifetime.
We all miss you here at WMS.
They are nuts over there, you don't need a maid....Are they kidding ???

Thanks for your little FAQ's as I was wondering some of those answers too....praying hard for you and that the judge will have the wisdom of Solomon and be able to "see clearly" who the mother of this dear little boy is...and that is you!

Dawn,
I just want you to know, so many people have been commenting on my blog or emailing me because they cant access your site due to privacy, but they wanted me to tell you that they are praying for you and want everything to go in your favor for court. You have a lot of bloggy love out there.

I cannot believe you have to stay another 2-3 weeks there to get paperwork accomplished. I am sending strength and good thoughts your way.
